I came to Paris to work as an au pair in April 2007, through Europair Services. Originally I was only going to stay for three months, but I liked the city so much that I decided to stay indefinitely! The first week I was in Paris, Europair organised an au pair party in a great little bar in central Paris. It was a chance to meet new people and two of the girls I met that evening are now my best friends. I was a bit homesick when I first arrived, but when I went to the au pair agency the girls were so welcoming and friendly, I felt much more at ease.

I really enjoyed being an au pair because it gave me an insight into the French culture, and my French has come on in leaps and bounds since I have been living in Paris. I made lots of friends from all over the world, including Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, America, Brazil and, of course, France ! Paris is a really wonderful city to live in. There are always public events like Fete de la Musique (a free music festival, with concerts all over Paris) & La Nuit Des Musées (when the museums are open late and put on special events) and the nightlife is great! My host family was really welcoming; they gave me my own little apartment in central Paris, and I was immediately accepted as part of the family. They taught me so much about the French way of life and I am sure I will always keep in contact with them.

I would recommend Europair Services to anyone wanting to be an au pair. The agency team is so caring and I felt very secure knowing that if I had any problems I could give them a call. In fact, the agency made such a good impression on me that I now work for them!
