You have a deep interest in French culture and lifestyle, become a tutor and live at the heart of French culture, discovering local gastronomy, traditions, Paris and customs,
Your role as an English tutor will be to speak (and teach) English to host family members for 15 hours per week. You’ll make meaningful connections and enrich both your and their cultural experience.
A cultural exchange where you share your language
Your role is to share your language and culture with your host family, while they introduce you to French life in a friendly, authentic environment. This exchange is based on a spirit of sharing, mutual respect and a warm welcome.
You will have to communicate in English with the members of the family —for at least 15 hours a week— through natural conversations and shared moments integrated into your daily life. This can also take the form of games and fun educational activities with the children.
In return, the family will provide you with a comfortable single room and full board for the duration of your stay.
Important: You are not there to look after the children, do the housework or take care of the household. This is a language exchange program, not an Au Pair program.

Living with a French host family not only introduces you to French culture and lifestyle. You will get to know so many other cultures through the friends you will make during your stay.
You will never get bored during your free time in France! We will always have a lot of activities and outings options : famous monuments, museums and places, shopping, French festival, French gastronomy…
You will have a lot of free time to explore your local area, to travel to new and exciting places in France or Europe or improve your level of French.
French courses are not mandatory. If you need, Europair Services helps you with finding the right school where they can attend French classes, depending on the location, the level of French, the planning and the prices. The fees are fully at your expense. You’ll need to use your personal funds.

Conditions
to be a tutor in France
- Be aged between 18 and 65 years old.
- Be a native English speaker.
- Provide at least one non family character reference.
- Have a secondary school graduation or equivalent.
- Have never been convicted of a criminal offence.
